DevOps Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer (Cloud Platform)

About the role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who will drive cloud migration and DevOps adoption across multiple product teams. You will work on our internal DevOps platform that automates CI/CD and provides curated Azure services, helping teams move to a secure‑by‑design cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support several Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to the internal DevOps platform and Azure services.
• Lead re‑platforming and migration of applications to Azure, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and security controls.
• Transition CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, aligning them with platform standards.
• Coach development teams on DevOps best practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud‑native development.
• Create reusable templates, documentation, and training material to improve developer experience.
• Troubleshoot platform integration and deployment issues during migrations and releases.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and compliance teams to meet audit and control requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience (Java.NET, Python or similar).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows and modern delivery practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure‑as‑code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Experience deploying containerised workloads using Docker, Helm and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills in English.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments and in air‑gapped enterprise settings.
