DevOps Engineer

About the role

Encora is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support multiple Agile Release Trains and product teams in onboarding to its internal DevOps platform and curated Azure services. The role will drive re‑platforming, migration of applications to cloud infrastructure, and modernization of CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to the internal DevOps platform and Azure services.
• Drive the re‑platforming and migration of applications to cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance and secure‑by‑design principles.
• Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, aligning with platform standards.
• Collaborate with development teams, providing education and enablement on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud‑native development.
• Create templates, documentation, and training materials to simplify platform adoption and improve developer experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java.NET, Python or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab).
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern delivery practices.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Experience deploying containerised workloads and orchestration using Nexus, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Background working in air‑gapped or restricted enterprise environments.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a strong advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills and proven ability to coach teams through change.
• Experience in agile environments (SAFe or similar) collaborating across multiple teams.
