Digital Tax Data Scientist Associate – July 2027 Intake

About the role

PwC’s Digital Tax unit is seeking a Data Scientist Associate to join the July 2027 intake. You will help clients unlock the value of tax data through analytics, predictive modeling and emerging AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to translate data into actionable insights using analytics and visualisation.
• Develop predictive models, statistical and data‑mining techniques to explore and extract insights from large tax datasets.
• Analyse data to create new product offerings and optimise existing tax‑related products, marketing and business strategies.
• Build, maintain and apply predictive and large‑language‑model (LLM) solutions to drive business outcomes, assess risk and enhance user experiences.
• Use data‑driven approaches to design risk‑mitigation strategies for clients while improving user experience.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, clarifying requirements and defining research methodologies.
• Stay informed on current business and industry trends.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics) with 2‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven knowledge of statistical and data‑mining techniques.
• Experience presenting visualised data to stakeholders.
• Background in data analytics within a financial or professional‑services environment or an engineering role.
• Proficiency in statistical modelling, algorithms, machine learning and LLM concepts.
