Director, Global Category Lead – Infrastructure

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group is seeking a Director to lead the global procurement strategy for all infrastructure‑related technology spend. You will shape category plans, partner with senior technology leaders and drive commercial outcomes across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year global infrastructure category strategy aligned with technology roadmaps.
• Lead high‑value sourcing initiatives, from market analysis through negotiation and contract governance.
• Act as the trusted commercial advisor to senior infrastructure, cloud, network and cybersecurity stakeholders.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with key suppliers such as IBM, AWS and Cisco, ensuring performance and innovation.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of technology procurement or strategic sourcing experience in large multinational organisations.
• Proven track record managing complex sourcing initiatives across cloud services, network architecture or related infrastructure categories.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering measurable cost‑savings.
• Relevant degree (Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or Technology) and professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) are advantageous.
