Director, Insto Non-Financial Risk (NFR) – Singapore & SEAIME

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Director to lead Insto Non-Financial Risk (NFR) across Singapore and the South‑East Asia & India‑Middle East (SEAIME) region. Based in Singapore, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring that market, transaction banking, corporate finance and coverage risks are identified, assessed and managed within the bank’s appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic risk counsel to South‑East Asia business leaders and support sustainable growth.
• Lead the regional non‑financial risk governance framework, including forums, reporting, escalation and decision‑making.
• Partner with the Head of International Non‑Financial Risk and regulatory bodies to manage engagement and change.
• Drive execution of risk uplift initiatives such as PACT and promote a proactive risk culture.
• Collaborate with 2LOD, control functions and business units to ensure effective risk outcomes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in non‑financial risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to advise senior business leaders and influence risk‑aware decision making.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk governance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving risk initiatives and fostering collaboration.
