Director of DevOps / SRE for Equities Trading

About the role

As an Executive Director in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering within JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate & Investment Bank Equities Trading division, you will shape the reliability, automation and operational resilience strategy for a high‑performance, latency‑sensitive trading platform that spans multiple global regions. The role combines technical leadership with cross‑functional coordination to drive production excellence and enable engineering capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the DevOps/SRE roadmap for the Electronic Market Making platform.
• Own governance for major initiatives, delivering documented outcomes, plans and lifecycle reporting.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery across application, infrastructure, network and platform teams.
• Establish production‑excellence standards and oversee incident management and remediation.
• Drive CI/CD, release engineering and multi‑region deployment automation.
• Implement a shared‑responsibility operating model to meet security and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering with leadership of teams.
• Proven track record supporting electronic trading or other low‑latency environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive‑level reporting.
