Director of Event Management

About the role

The Director of Event Management leads all event‑related functions at The St. Regis Singapore, ensuring seamless execution from sales through operations and back to sales. This senior position is responsible for delivering the brand’s service strategy, growing event revenue, and maximizing departmental financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Event Management operations, including Event Planning, Banquets/Catering, Event Service and Event Technology.
• Research and analyze competitor products, pricing and services.
• Collaborate with direct reports to review scheduled events, troubleshoot challenges and communicate group impacts to property operations.
• Coordinate with culinary teams to maintain food handling and sanitation standards.
• Maintain meeting spaces, heart‑of‑house areas, furniture and equipment in line with corporate guidelines.
• Lead the execution of brand service initiatives and develop an Event Management strategy aligned with business goals.
• Set expectations for the event management leadership team, communicate departmental goals and ensure integration with brand and regional initiatives.
• Drive profitability by encouraging calculated risk‑taking, managing high‑profile groups and seeking incremental revenue opportunities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in event management, food & beverage, sales or marketing, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
