Director of People & Culture

About the role

The Director of People & Culture will be the custodian of the hotel’s culture, ensuring that every strategic initiative places the guest at its core while nurturing our ambassadors – the team members. This senior HR leader will drive employer branding, talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention across our luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a guest‑centric culture and communicate the Sofitel brand vision to all staff.
• Develop and execute employer‑branding activities, including school partnerships, social‑media promotion, and internal newsletters.
• Lead recruitment and selection for managerial and senior positions, manage payroll forecasts, and oversee casual labour acquisition.
• Design and implement onboarding, induction, and probation review processes to ensure smooth integration of new talent.
• Create retention strategies, succession plans, and talent‑movement programs to reduce turnover.
• Monitor local labour legislation and labour‑market trends, providing recommendations to senior management.

• Proven track record of delivering feedback and building a trusted, safe work environment.
