Director of Sales – Hospitality

About the role

Avani Singapore is assembling its opening leadership team and seeks an experienced, commercially driven Director of Sales. You will shape the hotel’s market presence from day one, driving revenue growth across multiple segments and establishing strong business partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all pre‑opening sales activities, including account acquisition, market positioning, strategy development, team mobilisation and pipeline generation.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase revenue and market share.
• Oversee sales across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Consortia and other key segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners, event planners and strategic stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to maximise commercial performance.
• Manage sales budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing sales team.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior sales leadership role within hospitality.
• Proven track record of driving hotel revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
• Strong understanding of Corporate, MICE and Leisure revenue segments.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Pre‑opening hotel experience is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the Singapore hospitality market and its demand drivers.
• Established network of corporate, MICE and travel industry contacts in Singapore is advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
