Director – Tourism Planning

About the role

The Director of Tourism Planning will lead the design and execution of strategic tourism initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and generate measurable impact across the resort. This senior role requires translating high‑level strategy into actionable plans while coordinating a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic tourism initiatives, creating clear action plans, milestones, and ownership structures.
• Maintain business scorecards and provide timely insights for strategic decision‑making.
• Act as an integrator across teams, linking internal experts, leadership, and external partners to drive aligned outcomes.
• Partner with business units to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure execution momentum.
• Build and sustain relationships with statutory boards, ministries, corporates, advisors, and consultants.
• Facilitate cross‑stakeholder alignment meetings to drive timely decisions and accountability.
• Conduct market and policy research to stay abreast of tourism trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in tourism development or government‑related projects.
• Strong understanding of government policies and strategies affecting tourism and economic growth.
• Proven ability to work in complex, cross‑functional environments and influence without formal authority.
• Excellent strategic planning, prioritisation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Clear, confident communicator with strong business judgement and outcome‑driven mindset.
