Draftsman – Construction & Design

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Draftsman to support our construction and design projects. You will prepare, revise, and manage drawings and schedules, ensuring they meet tender and job order requirements while collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update drawings, schedules, and tender documents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with design and sales teams to propose materials that fit budget and client specifications.
• Coordinate instructions with production, sales, and clients, monitoring progress and resolving issues.
• Develop accurate bills of quantity and perform quantity take‑offs for materials and labor.
• Liaise with consultants and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site surveys, respond to customer enquiries, and assess installation requirements.
• Perform quality control to verify that constructed items match drawings and specifications.
• Support production, procurement, and logistics teams and maintain organized project files.
• Prepare project reports for managers and clients and keep the workplace tidy and safe.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, building services, project management, or manufacturing.
• Diploma or NTC 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
• Organised, self‑driven, and able to work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with SketchUp.
• Ability to produce 2D and 3D technical drawings.
