Duty Engineer – Singapore

About the role

The Duty Engineer is responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance services for Qatar Airways in Singapore. You will ensure optimal fleet performance by managing manpower, materials, and complex tasks within defined timeframes.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve quality and productivity targets for each maintenance task.
• Plan activities, use equipment and tooling according to procedures.
• Communicate with all Qatar Airways parties at the station and oversee audit supervision.
• Release work completed by yourself or mechanics, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Monitor Health, Safety and Environment requirements and maintain serviceable tools.
• Manage shift handovers and inform incoming shifts of operational impacts.
• Utilise ground time to clear defects and perform scheduled tasks in liaison with the Maintenance Operations Control Centre.
• Provide AOG support at Singapore Airport and travel for aircraft recovery as needed.
• Execute line‑maintenance services for other airlines under contractual agreements.

Required profile

• Relevant college or university qualification.
• Minimum two full Qatar Airways main‑fleet EASA/ICAO/QCAA licences and approvals.
• Licensed engineer authorized to work on foreign carrier aircraft types.
• Holds an EASA Part‑66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence.
