Electrical Engineer – Chemical Plant, E&I, Instrumentation, Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join a well‑established chemical plant operation in Singapore. The role focuses on electrical and instrumentation maintenance, ensuring plant reliability and safety while supporting a range of systems from low‑voltage circuits to high‑voltage generators.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for electrical and instrumentation assets.
• Perform troubleshooting on AC low‑voltage single‑phase and three‑phase systems.
• Maintain optimal inventory of electrical spares and drives, backing up drive parameters.
• Document maintenance procedures, risk assessments, single‑line diagrams (SLD) and E&I records.
• Interface three‑phase generator control with grid power and coordinate MV/high‑voltage (22 kVA) preventive maintenance.
• Develop and update electrical panel schematics, specifications, procedures and drawings as needed.
• Guide technicians on ACMV, CCTV, access‑control, PA, power and lighting troubleshooting.
• Manage material consumables, parts and spare units, and enforce 5S standards in the workshop.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project personnel and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in electrical engineering within chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or power‑plant environments.
