Engine Assembly / Disassembly Technician

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for an onsite Technician for engine assembly and disassembly in Singapore. The role involves using machines, equipment and tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect aircraft engines, their modules, parts, components and accessories, following standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Use machines, equipment and tools to carry out assembly, disassembly and inspection of engines, modules, parts, components or accessories.
• Read and follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Solve technical issues encountered in daily work.
• Assist the Operations Leader, Assistant Foremen and Cell Leaders in achieving production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Carry out SAP transactions and make necessary changes to work orders in SAP.
• Support EHS, continuous improvement and ethics projects and other corporate initiatives.

Required profile

• NITEC or higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or another related engineering discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience in engine or module assembly, disassembly, inspection or testing.
• Commitment to rotating day and night shifts and overtime when needed.
• A curious, learning mindset; on-the-job training and certifications are provided.

Required skills

• Good understanding of technical drawings such as engine manuals.
• Preferred: good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
