Engineering Lead, Full Stack, Growth Team

About the role

Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses worldwide. Its Growth Engineering team builds the web experiences and growth platforms that power customer acquisition, activation, conversion, retention and expansion. As Engineering Lead, Full Stack, you will lead a team of engineers and own the technical direction of customer-facing web applications, corporate websites, CMS platforms and growth capabilities. The role is based in the Singapore office five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and evolution of high-performance websites, landing pages, CMS-powered experiences and customer-facing web applications.
• Drive technical architecture and direction across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, content platforms and integrations.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, setting clear expectations and fostering ownership and collaboration.
• Enable growth and experimentation, building capabilities for rapid content iteration, A/B testing, personalization, conversion optimization and marketing automation.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science and other engineering teams to turn business needs into scalable solutions.
• Use performance metrics and customer insights to improve website performance, conversion and engagement.
• Establish engineering practices for code quality, web performance, accessibility, SEO, security, reliability and observability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leading engineers or complex technical initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven technical leadership, with the ability to mentor engineers and work with Product, Design and Marketing.
• Preferred: experience in high-growth technology companies, fintech, payments or regulated environments; experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science or Revenue Operations.

Required skills

• Full-stack engineering with production web apps using React, Next.js and TypeScript, and backend with Python, Java/Kotlin or Node.js.
• Preferred: growth platforms, headless CMS, A/B testing, SEO, web analytics, attribution, marketing technology integrations, server-side rendering, static site generation, CDN/edge infrastructure, caching, and AI-powered applications or agentic workflows.
