Engineering Manager, Org & Identity

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Organization & Identity team in Singapore. You will lead the team building and evolving the core identity and organization foundations, including user onboarding, authentication, access control, organization modelling, account ownership and org-level workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for highly available, scalable and secure identity systems that every Airwallex product depends on.
• Partner with Product, Design, Risk, Compliance, Onboarding and Engineering teams to deliver trusted identity and access management (IAM) capabilities and solve complex platform problems.
• Raise the bar on engineering excellence, including code quality, system design, performance, reliability and security, while supporting the team's growth and delivery.
• Use data to measure system and product effectiveness, identify optimisation opportunities and guide decisions that create long-term value.
• Build intuitive identity and access-management solutions that meet customer security needs without compromising usability.

Required profile

• Significant experience in software development, with a strong focus on high availability, access control, authentication and authorization, or identity management.
• Experience leading and developing engineers while maintaining high standards for technical execution and engineering quality.
• Strong technical judgement and the ability to design and deliver robust, secure and scalable systems.
• Strategic, forward-looking approach and customer-focused mindset.
• Data-driven and analytical approach to measuring effectiveness and finding optimisation opportunities.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers and engineers across functions and regions.
• Preferred: experience in a growing technology or fintech company.
