Engineering Manager – Producer Responsibility (Contract)

About the role

The Waste Management Division’s Producer Responsibility Department is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the administration and regulation of Singapore’s Beverage Container Return Scheme. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, coordinating with corporate and public stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive sustainable waste‑to‑resource outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and regulate the beverage container return scheme, ensuring stakeholder and premises compliance.
• Review submitted reports and plans, conduct on‑site audits and inspections, and enforce relevant Acts, Regulations and licensing conditions.
• Organise and facilitate stakeholder discussions, engagements, consultations and handle enquiries promptly.
• Support industry consultations, briefings and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental or waste‑management roles.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, and a passion for environmental protection.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Data analytics and statistical assessment capabilities.
