Senior Water Treatment Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of water treatment solutions, including ultrapure water, wastewater and water reclamation systems. The role involves close interaction with clients across ASEAN, delivering technical proposals and supporting plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design water treatment processes and create detailed calculations, block flow diagrams, specifications, drawings and cost estimates.
• Prepare and coordinate client proposals, present solutions and follow up on opportunities.
• Identify and propose plant upgrades to improve water quality, reduce energy use, lower operating costs and enhance reliability.
• Troubleshoot existing plants and conduct site tests such as jar tests.
• Lead the Plant Analytical Laboratory, performing membrane filtration, biotreatment piloting, sludge dehydration and other pilot studies.
• Write standard operating procedures and assist in drafting operating manuals.
• Participate in construction, commissioning and on‑site activities.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of relevant experience in water or process engineering.
• ITE/Diploma/Degree in Chemical/Process Technology, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Singaporean or SPR status.
• Practical knowledge of water chemistry, treatment processes and plant equipment (pumps, piping, control systems).
• Team‑oriented, sales‑focused and able to build client relationships.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours, travel within ASEAN and pursue long‑term leadership opportunities.
