Senior Associate, Health Safety & Environment

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to lead its Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management System in Singapore. You will manage administrative HSE processes, identify training needs, design and deliver effective training, and use a range of HSE tools to implement programmes that drive compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy HSE programme initiatives to promote compliance with procedures and shape organisational safety culture.
• Set up steering and working committees, communicate programme importance, and address barriers with cross‑functional teams.
• Plan and conduct HSE compliance inspections, facilitate audits, and define data collection for performance measurement.
• Establish performance criteria, assess metrics, and devise improvement strategies for health and safety hazards.
• Manage risk‑management plans, lead risk‑assessment teams, and advise on HSEMS implementation.
• Review and enhance workplace safety and health (WSH) policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness plans.
• Oversee incident and accident investigations, maintain emergency response processes, and analyse data for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing HSE management systems in a manufacturing or medical‑device environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑departmental programmes, conduct audits, and drive compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills to define performance metrics and develop improvement actions.
• Effective communication skills for training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
