Engineering WSDegree Internship - Semiconductor Factory

About the role

GlobalFoundries Singapore is looking for highly skilled and motivated Engineering WSDegree interns to join its state-of-the-art factory. The internship is for students enrolled in the WSDegree programme for the 2026 intake, who must be able to commit to the duration of Block 1/2 of the programme. Applicants should state their internship period clearly in their CV, resume or cover letter.

Key responsibilities

• Gain experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the wafer fabrication process and equipment functionality.
• Learn statistical process control, equipment fault detection classification, equipment control systems and metrology.
• Acquire problem-solving skills.
• Discuss with a mentor to define the final-year project (FYP) topic, scope and resources needed; the FYP should relate to what was learned in Block 2 but present a higher level of challenge.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE), Material Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Chemical and Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Student enrolled in the WSDegree programme for the 2026 intake, able to commit to Block 1/2.
