English Teacher – High School (IGCSE/A-Level)

About the role

Furen International School is seeking a full-time English Teacher for its high-school programme. The role involves preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE, CIE A-Level, IELTS and ACT examinations and supporting their overall academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and adapt engaging English lessons to suit varying academic levels.
• Design and administer assessments, including exams, quizzes and assignments.
• Mark student work accurately and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress, identify learning gaps and implement remedial strategies.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field; strong A-Level English results preferred.
• Fresh graduates or final-year undergraduates are welcome.
• Passion for teaching and helping students achieve academic success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and uphold high teaching standards.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and CIE A-Level syllabi.
• Understanding of IELTS and ACT exam formats (advantageous).
