Part-Time Student Care Teacher / Child‑Minder

About the role

Bright Mind Learning Hub is seeking a caring and organised Student Care Teacher who will also act as a Child‑Minder for primary‑school children after school hours. Based on‑site in Bedok, you will create a safe, structured environment where children can complete homework, engage in simple enrichment activities and develop positive study habits.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise arrival, snack time, rest periods and dismissal for groups of primary‑school children.
• Guide children through homework and revision in English, Math and Mother Tongue, ensuring tasks are completed accurately.
• Plan and facilitate age‑appropriate enrichment activities such as reading sessions, crafts and educational games.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and enforce positive behaviour standards.
• Communicate daily progress and any concerns to parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to continuously improve programme content.

Required profile

• Experience working with primary‑school children in student‑care, childcare, tuition or enrichment settings.
• Strong classroom and behaviour‑management abilities.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in holistic child development.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage routines and documentation.
• Relevant certification in Education, Early Childhood, Child Psychology or related fields is an advantage; current students in these programmes are welcome.

Required skills

• First aid certification or basic life‑support knowledge.
