Enterprise Architecture Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Enterprise Architecture Intern for its System Office for Asia – Regional Enterprise Architecture (ASO - REA) team. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only, and MUFG's internship partners in Singapore include NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD and SUSS.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing system design and standards and propose improvements.
• Work on functional design, process design and similar work with other teams, covering AI, cloud, microservices, integrations and data according to project requirements.
• Perform prototyping and testing, and collaborate across teams.
• Document the solution architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and incubation.
• Develop training material and give technical talks to users.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a related field.
• Only Singaporean and PR students are eligible; the role is based in Singapore.

Required skills

• Software development knowledge, including high-level and detailed design documentation and integration design for multi-tier architectures.
• Understanding of AI (OpenAI, GenAI, AgenticAI).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Service orchestration and messaging systems (Kafka, Event Grid).
• Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and data architecture.
