Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor Industry)

About the role

We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to join a leading US semiconductor multinational operating in Singapore. The role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites, both locally and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, relocation, and start‑up of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and system‑related issues, repair or replace defective parts.
• Support testing, calibration, qualification and implementation of engineering change orders, upgrades and modifications.
• Prepare accurate service reports, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
• Ensure safety and clean‑room compliance while working on precision equipment.
• Participate in on‑call standby duties and travel to customer sites as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting or repair of semiconductor manufacturing or mechanical/electrical equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and good communication.
• Willingness to work shift, standby duties and travel overseas.
• Comfortable working in clean‑room environments.
