Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Operations

About the role

OpenAI’s Industrial Compute organization is expanding its Manufacturing Operations team in Singapore. The Technical Program Manager will lead end‑to‑end programs that bring AI servers, racks and networking systems from design through production ramp and sustained manufacturing across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Own integrated program plans covering NPI, factory readiness, tooling, test development, qualification, production ramp and shipment.
• Coordinate hardware, manufacturing, quality, supply‑chain, logistics and deployment teams to meet capacity, material and delivery commitments.
• Drive manufacturing readiness reviews, define entry/exit criteria and manage corrective actions with clear owners and validation plans.
• Track and improve metrics such as yield, cycle time, throughput, defect rates and on‑time delivery.
• Build dashboards and playbooks that give visibility into production status, constraints and recovery plans.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing operations or NPI for complex hardware.
• Proven track record leading hardware products from development through qualification, production ramp and sustaining operations.
• Experience working directly with ODMs, JDMs, contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
• Strong ability to translate technical and operational risks into clear decisions for senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related technical discipline.
