Executive Engineer/Manager (Building Management Department)

About the role

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) is looking for an Executive Engineer/Manager for its Building Management Department. The department administers building regulations and develops strategies for a future-ready built environment, and the successful candidate will work on reviewing and enhancing the Temporary Buildings and Advertising Licensing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and develop strategies and policies for the Building Control (Temporary Buildings/Advertising Licensing) Regulations.
• Enhance processes and manage operations under those regulations, including facilitating a pro-business environment through IT system development and close cooperation with related agencies.
• Approve building plan submissions, including designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in consultancy and design.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a team and eager to learn; motivated and fast learner.
• Professional certification or strong technical/BIM knowledge is an advantage.
