Executive (Finance Department) - Student Financials

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore is hiring an Executive for its Finance Department. You will join the team that handles payments and other student-related financial matters for the institute.

Key responsibilities

• Administer financial aid schemes such as PSEA, CPF, Mendaki, tuition fee loans, study loans, scholarships and bursaries.
• Check that payment transactions (for example supplier invoices and student claims) have the right certification and approvals before processing payments.
• Handle the financial accounts and prepare GST, audit schedules and financial statements for the NIE Student Union.
• Respond promptly to enquiries relating to student matters.
• Assist in designing, implementing and reviewing financial processes, policies and guidelines, through streamlining and automation.
• Handle ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of work experience in accounting, specifically in accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Organized and meticulous with numbers and data; good communication skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude, willing to learn and adapt.
• Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle ad hoc work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel pivot tables and formulas.
• SAP experience is an added advantage.
