Executive (Finance Department) - Undergraduate Billing

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore's national teacher education institute, is hiring an Executive for its Finance Department. The position is a 3-year contract and focuses on undergraduate billing and other student-related financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Billing for undergraduate courses, hostels and facilities.
• Checking that all payment transactions have appropriate certification and approvals before processing.
• Responding to enquiries about facilities and student matters.
• Assisting in designing, implementing and reviewing financial processes, policies and guidelines, including streamlining and automation.
• Participating in system implementation, enhancements and user acceptance testing.
• Handling ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• At least 2 years of financial administration and accounting work experience.
• Good organisational and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Ability to prioritise, plan and multi-task, delivering work on schedule; self-motivated and results oriented.
• Team player who can also work independently is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• SAP and Ariba experience is an added advantage.
