Export Control Senior Manager - East Asia & Pacific

About the role

Citadel Search is looking for an experienced Export Control Senior Manager to lead and manage the export control program and compliance for the East Asia & Pacific region. You will drive regulatory adherence, give expert guidance on export control and sanctions, and help improve related processes within a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the global export control program and oversee export control classification projects across the region, ensuring compliance with export control and sanctions regulations.
• Advise management on export control and sanctions compliance, including licensing, agreements and technology control plans for sensitive goods.
• Monitor and evaluate changes in export control and sanctions regulations and report them to management.
• Act as the point of contact for export control matters with government agencies and authorities.
• Carry out compliance reviews, audits and investigations, write findings reports and lead corrective action plans with site management and local export control Single Points of Contact.
• Lead and support cross-departmental export compliance projects and assist with internal and external audits.
• Deliver training to employees on export control policies, legal requirements and procedural compliance.
• Represent the organisation at conferences and take part in special projects such as M&A, divestitures and classification reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in export control and sanctions regulations across East Asia, the Pacific and international markets, covering licensing, reporting, classification and export program management.
• Willingness to travel internationally about 30% as needed.
• Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills.
