Facilities Building Services Technician

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of memory and storage products, is hiring a Facilities Building Services Technician. The role supports the management of outsourced building services, building maintenance and minor works, working alongside engineers and in-house contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the scope of work for outsourced services.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and risk assessments for routine and non-routine works.
• Support the estimation of annual budgets for service contracts, building maintenance and minor works.
• Support and assist engineers on building services projects including civil and structural works.
• Attend daily meetings on day-to-day operations and take part in resolving work-area issues.
• Carry out FMS work tasks and close PM/CM work orders on time.
• Provide guidance and supervision to in-house contractors and service contract providers.
• Maintain high safety standards on all supervised work and work with contractors to meet performance metrics.
• Complete all learning items within the stipulated time frame.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITC (Higher NITEC) or NTC-2 (NITEC) in Architectural, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
• Experience in building maintenance is advantageous.
