Facilities Operations Technologist (Compress-Work-Week Shift)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Compress-Work-Week Shift Operation Technician (Facilities Operations Technologist) for its Fab 10A facility. You will be responsible for the safe and proper operation of plant utilities equipment and systems in compliance with specifications, supporting organizational objectives and company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor facilities equipment and systems through the FMCS (Facilities Monitoring and Control System) or equivalent control systems in the control room
• Respond promptly to out-of-specification or abnormal conditions and escalate them to the relevant parties
• Restore facilities services quickly to minimize interruptions to production or the site
• Support and implement operating procedures and risk assessments for facilities systems and related work
• Coordinate maintenance or installation activities for facilities systems and equipment on site
• Pass information accurately to the next shift, execute shift routines, and assist in drafting SOPs, checklists and daily plant reports
• Follow up on incidents or service interruptions and coordinate with internal and external parties
• Prioritize and organize work during the shift and serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
• Co-chair the Facilities Daily Operation morning meeting/pass-down with the Facilities Operations Engineer
• Complete assigned learning items and training, review and approve work permits, and integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work

Required profile

• Engineering diploma in electronic/electrical, mechanical, controls and instrumentation, or a similar field
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize, work independently and in a team
• Prior facilities experience is advantageous
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
