Field Application Technician

About the role

FLEXXON is hiring a Field Application Technician in Singapore. The role provides technical support to customers and internal teams, manages Return Material Authorisation (RMA) activities, supports quality improvement initiatives and conducts product validation, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues while maintaining high product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to external and internal departments, diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware and system issues, perform fault isolation and root cause analysis, and prepare technical reports, troubleshooting guides and test procedures.
• Handle RMA requests, inspect and test returned products, document failure analysis and corrective actions, maintain RMA records and monitor turnaround time.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality issues, use methods such as 8D, 5 Why and Fishbone Diagram, support CAPA, analyse field failure data and verify corrective actions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and customer training, and maintain good customer relationships.
• Update technical documentation and knowledge databases, record lessons learned and recommend product improvements in line with QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams, and take part in technical meetings and project reviews.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics or a related major.
• 3-5 years of FAE experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with written and spoken English and Chinese, as the role involves liaising with associates in China.
• Preferred: familiarity with Windows and Linux, knowledge management systems, and understanding of automation and AI applications.

Required skills

• Hardware and electronic troubleshooting, product testing and validation, root cause and failure analysis.
• Reading electrical schematics and technical drawings, use of electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply).
• Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM and RMA management systems.
• CAPA, 8D problem solving, reliability testing, ECN/ECO.
