Field Service Engineering Trainee (Fresh Graduate)

About the role

Hitachi Energy Service is looking for a fresh graduate to join its Field Service Engineer traineeship in Singapore. Over a 1-year traineeship, you will learn about the Service Business Unit and field service engineering, with leadership and mentoring programmes, technical and product training and industry site experience. The role involves travelling about 60-70% of the time on call or to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to customers on commissioning, installation and testing of products and equipment, and help identify and correct complex start-up problems
• Research, evaluate and recommend product or equipment upgrades that meet customer needs
• Build ongoing customer relationships and help salespeople and project managers maintain them and grow the transformer service business
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, train customers on equipment features and suggest product and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines, and uphold safety and integrity

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) from a reputable institution
• Fluent in spoken and written English with good communication skills
• Self-motivated learner, good problem solver and team player
• Flexible for local and overseas business travel
