Finance Director, APAC Region

About the role

The Finance Director for the APAC region will lead all financial controlling, accounting, and reporting activities across multiple countries. This senior position is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements while driving standardisation and automation of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead APAC financial accounting, consolidation, month‑end and year‑end closing, and reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to headquarters accounting policies.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audits, tax filings and compliance with local regulations.
• Review and challenge country budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
• Manage regional P&L, cash flow, working capital and conduct variance analysis.
• Lead post‑deal finance integration, governance, and synergy tracking for acquisitions.
• Build and maintain strong financial governance, internal control frameworks and risk management standards.
• Evaluate and approve major projects, capex and new investments.
• Mentor and develop regional finance teams, fostering cross‑country collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance & Accounting; CPA or ACCA preferred.
• 15+ years of finance experience with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
• Strong background in controlling, accounting, financial governance, audit and tax.
• Hands‑on experience in multinational corporations or regional Asia‑Pacific organisations.
• Experience managing multi‑entity, cross‑border finance operations and M&A integration.
