Finance Intern - Product Control

About the role

ING's Wholesale Bank in Singapore is offering a 6-month internship in its Finance department, within the Product Control function, for the 2027 programme (January to June 2027). Product control safeguards financial integrity and regulatory compliance, manages operational risks and ensures that the valuation of financial instruments, the balance sheet and the profit and loss of trading and banking books are measured, controlled and reported in line with IFRS accounting and regulatory standards. The internship covers several Financial Markets desks such as Rates, Credit, FX, Commodities, Structured products and Non-linear derivatives.

Key responsibilities

• Daily P&L reporting and risk-based P&L analysis in terms of market risk factors
• Work on ad hoc ongoing projects related to product and valuation control
• Assist the team lead with specific valuation and P&L analysis as needed
• Gain exposure to the policies and procedures governing the desk, based on SOX, audit, IFRS accounting standards, regulations and the bank's risk management philosophy

Required profile

• Major in Finance, Accounting and/or Quantitative Finance or Data Analytics (a plus)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good time management and adaptability
• Collaborative and proactive attitude

Required skills

• Sufficient knowledge of MS Excel
• VBA or coding knowledge is a plus
