Founder (CEO) - AI Catalyst Discovery Venture

About the role

ATUM Ventures, a Singapore deep-tech venture builder and investor, is building a company around an AI-driven catalyst discovery platform developed at A*STAR. The platform combines computational simulation, machine learning and automated experimental validation into a closed loop, and targets markets such as sustainable and green chemicals. The role is founding CEO, working alongside two technical co-founders, an ATUM venture team and the inventors.

Key responsibilities

• Validate the beachhead and turn early industry interest into commercial pilots and LOIs
• Shape the business model and pricing
• Raise pre-seed and seed capital and build the founding team
• Move the platform from validated technology to deployed, revenue-generating systems

Required profile

• Industry insider: has built, sold or scaled in chemicals, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals or industrial energy, and knows how buyers in these sectors make decisions
• Sold complex technical solutions to industrial customers across many accounts, not just one relationship
• Thinks in unit economics, sales cycles and business models, and can lead a technical team
• Self-starter who owns outcomes and can commit full-time
