Founder (CEO) - Magnetic Curing and Debonding

About the role

ATUM, a Singapore deep-tech venture builder and investor, is looking for a founding CEO for a magnetic curing and debonding startup. The technology uses a ceramic additive that mixes into any adhesive or resin and is heated by a magnetic coil, using 5 to 10 times less energy than an oven and releasing the bond on command for repair or recycling. The founding CTO is already in place; you will own the commercial side of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Turn the lab result into a first paid pilot on the near-term curing use, then build out the debonding and composites platform
• Prove the value case: energy and cycle time saved on curing, and repair, disassembly and recycling unlocked by debond-on-demand
• Raise pre-seed and seed capital alongside ATUM
• Open channels with composite and adhesive formulators, electronics, battery and EV manufacturers, recyclers and OEMs focused on circularity

Required profile

• B2B industrial sales track record selling technical products, materials or equipment to manufacturers, chemicals or process customers, with long sales cycles and technical buyers
• Experience selling something new and building the internal business case (cost, ROI, qualification)
• Comfortable with materials, unit economics and pilots, able to build a price-and-value model
• Commercial judgement in deep-tech and resilience to commit full-time; Singapore-based is not required but frequent presence is needed
• Bonus: existing relationships in composites, adhesives, coatings, electronics, automotive or EV, or recycling and circular economy; bonus: background in specialty chemicals, materials or industrial process engineering
