Front End CPIE Process Integration (PI) Member of Technical Staff

About the role

Micron's Frontend Central Product Integration Engineering team aims to deliver leading-edge process capability, high yield (bits per wafer) and fast speed through innovation and collaboration across its DRAM/NAND sites in the US, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore. As a Front End CPIE Process Integration Member of Technical Staff, you will help identify, align and implement the best-known methods and drive systematic improvements across the network, working toward product maturity.

Key responsibilities

• Drive product maturity, including bits per wafer (yield), repair density and DPM, at the fastest speed and shortest learning cycle.
• Apply deep knowledge of FEOL, MOL, CELL and BEOL processes to find the best process integration solution; knowledge of product and circuit design is a plus.
• Collaborate with Yield Engineering, Device, RDA and Metrology teams to resolve top yield issues, build inline visibility and accelerate yield ramp-up.
• Identify best-known methods and business practices from DRAM/NAND sites and drive alignment and standardization across the network.
• Travel to Micron sites as needed for face-to-face collaboration.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in a process-related role in the semiconductor industry.
• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry.
• Proven track record of fixing structure and device issues and addressing root causes.
• Ability to travel to Micron sites is required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication process flows and how changes affect yield, device performance and reliability.
• Understanding of DRAM and NAND operation and structure, and ability to interpret parametric, probe and qual data from front-end and back-end assembly.
• Model-based problem solving, data-driven decision making and presentation skills.
• Digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly.
