Full-Time Sales Associate - Home Furnishing

About the role

IKEA Tampines is hiring a full-time Sales Associate for its Home Furnishing department. Reporting to the Shopkeeper of the department, the Sales Associate delivers excellent sales service and ensures IKEA's basic merchandising standards are met so customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assess customers' needs, provide information and recommend the best solutions for their homes, and offer assistance when required.
• Keep the department clean and tidy, with items properly displayed, priced and fully stocked according to IKEA standards.
• Prioritise top-selling and prioritised products, and steer sales towards them while learning their features and benefits to share with customers and colleagues.
• Maximise sales while maintaining profitability, including overstock and overtaged items.
• Support the implementation of planned commercial activities of the department.
• Analyse and adjust sales space capacity based on system parameters to keep stock available.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit to handle physical work, assemble furniture and stand during retail hours.
• Passion for home furnishing and home details.
• Able to commit to rotating shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
