Fullstack Developer - AI Applications

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Fullstack Developer for its AI Central (AIC) Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team. You will build both frontend and backend of Gen AI applications, from UI through API and cloud deployment, across fast-moving POC/pilot engagements and steady-state system development and maintenance. Two levels are offered: 2-4 years of experience, and 5+ years including at least 2 years in AI/Gen AI development.

Key responsibilities

• Build ReactJS frontends for POC and application workflows (upload, query, view results), integrated with backend APIs for model inference, RAG results and agent outputs, with error handling and basic authentication.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python (FastAPI/Flask) for inference, RAG, agent orchestration (e.g. AWS Strands or LangGraph) and document processing, using cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry or Google Vertex AI.
• Manage data with Postgres and vector search services (OpenSearch, FAISS), and apply LLMOps practices for model monitoring and versioning.
• Containerise with Docker and deploy to AWS, Azure, GCP or Kubernetes services, with CI/CD pipelines (Terraform or CDK) and code scanning (SonarQube, Fortify).
• During FDE engagements prioritise speed and flexibility; during maintenance harden applications into production-grade code.
• Collaborate with the Application Architect and Cloud Engineer, documenting API contracts, workflows and deployment steps.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience (junior level) or 5+ years including 2+ years in AI/Gen AI (senior level).
• Comfortable building lightweight RAG and agentic pipelines and understanding that Gen AI outputs vary and need dynamic rendering.
• Preferred: exposure to Singapore Government GCC/HCC environments.
