General Education Officer – Full‑time Teaching Position

About the role

As a General Education Officer, you will join Singapore's Ministry of Education schools to deliver high‑quality classroom instruction. You will help build students' foundational knowledge, essential skills and values, preparing them for lifelong learning and future success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in your subject area according to the national curriculum.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and personal growth.
• Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to develop and refine teaching practices.
• Participate in school activities, parent‑teacher meetings and professional development sessions.
• If applicable, serve as a Key Personnel (KP) and take on additional leadership duties.

Required profile

• Professional teaching qualification such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education.
• Strong subject‑matter knowledge and the ability to teach the specified subjects.
• Willingness to work full‑time in a Ministry of Education school.
• Former MOE‑trained teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to submit complete application with educational transcripts by the deadline.
