General Technician – Gas Turbine Component Repairs

About the role

The General Technician will perform a variety of hand‑skilled processes and operate specialised machines and test equipment to repair gas turbine components. Reporting to the Operations Leader, the role ensures high‑quality output while adhering to safety and production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Blend and polish metal and coating surfaces.
• Perform manual drilling for cooling‑hole re‑opening.
• Operate test equipment such as airflow, waterflow and moment weighing devices.
• Run machines including robotic polishers, shot peening units and cold‑spraying systems.
• Maintain product quality, equipment care, production pace, housekeeping and schedules.
• Follow all EHS rules and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Support other areas of work as assigned.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education or higher; Mechanical Engineering certificate/NiTEC preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred, but candidates without experience may be considered.
• Basic command of English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Required skills
