Governance Officer – Executive Director

About the role

This distinguished leadership position reports to the Head of Governance and carries a broad mandate that blends institutional leadership with strategic advisory responsibilities. The role works closely with the regional leadership team to shape and oversee critical business and control agendas across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal custodian of governance standards and practices across the regional platform.
• Manage the end‑to‑end governance lifecycle, including framework design, committee governance, escalation, reporting and administration.
• Collaborate with the NAPH Operating Committee Chair to govern high‑priority regional initiatives.
• Design, maintain and continuously enhance governance frameworks, policies and standards for regional businesses, legal entities and support functions.
• Coordinate senior management forums such as the NAPH Executive Management Committee and the NAPH Operating Committee.
• Support risk‑appetite discussions, control assessments and promote a strong risk culture throughout the region.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in governance, risk, compliance or related fields within a financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and senior executives.
• Strong strategic agility and disciplined governance mindset.
• Proven track record of influencing and embedding governance behaviours across large, complex organisations.
