Group Tax Manager – 1 Year Contract

About the role

The Group Tax Manager will join the tax function on a one‑year contract, reporting to the Group Tax Director. Based in Singapore, the role supports year‑end compliance, external audits and the FY26/27 tax budgeting for entities across Asia‑Pacific and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance for entities in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, PNG and New Zealand, including review and approval of income tax and GST/VAT returns.
• Coordinate with local finance controllers to ensure timely filing and payment of corporate tax, GST/VAT and withholding tax.
• Manage tax queries and audits, escalating contentious issues to the Group Tax Director and recommending practical solutions.
• Lead monthly tax reporting, tax budgeting, cash tax payments and year‑end closing for in‑scope entities.
• Collaborate with the Group consolidation team and business‑line CFOs on tax aspects of the group’s year‑end close and commercial initiatives.
• Support ad‑hoc tax projects at the group level on a case‑by‑case basis.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Accredited Tax Practitioner (Income Tax) qualification preferred.
• At least 10 years of corporate tax experience, including GST/VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing, gained in a Big 4 or large multinational environment.
• In‑house tax experience in a fast‑paced, cross‑cultural organisation.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax regimes in the listed countries and of tax accounting at group consolidation level.
• Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
