Head of Compliance

About the role

Fuku is hiring a Head of Compliance in Singapore. The role leads the compliance function, builds its strategy and framework and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the compliance strategy and framework.
• Lead and manage the compliance team, guiding and supporting its work.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry best practices and share them with stakeholders.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and report findings to senior management and the board.
• Collaborate with other departments for a cohesive compliance approach across the organisation.
• Oversee compliance training programmes to raise employee awareness.
• Act as the main contact for regulators and manage compliance-related inquiries and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g. CAMS, CCEP) is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management or a related field within financial services.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices in banking.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
