Head of Finance Operations, International Markets

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance Operations to lead finance functions across multiple international markets for a globally recognised education group. This senior role will own end‑to‑end financial processes, drive operational excellence and act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to design and implement finance systems, policies and structures that improve productivity, governance and scalability.
• Lead global finance operations strategy, including process documentation, SOPs, delegation‑of‑authority frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage and develop a sizeable international finance operations team covering AP/AR, procurement and payroll.
• Oversee Order‑to‑Cash processes: customer onboarding, billing, revenue recognition, collections, IFRS‑aligned bad‑debt provisioning and cash‑flow reporting.
• Own Procure‑to‑Pay, payroll and procurement leadership, ensuring compliant global AP operations, payroll execution and vendor‑spend management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy with a professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in impact‑ or tech‑driven, multi‑country organisations (e.g., international education, SaaS, professional services, healthcare).
• Background in shared services or centralized regional finance operations.
• Proven leadership in international or APAC finance operations with high‑volume transactional responsibility (P2P, O2C).
• Successful track record managing large, multicultural teams and developing talent.
• Strong analytical mindset.
