Accounting Manager – Manufacturing (Singapore)

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the finance and accounting function for the Singapore entity of a machine‑tool manufacturing business. Reporting to the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust costing, and effective support for operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑set accounting, month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and statutory reporting in line with IFRS and group policies.
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including BOM, routing, direct & indirect costs, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, KPI monitoring, profitability analysis and capex evaluation.
• Supervise finance executives, improve month‑end efficiency, drive ERP enhancements, reporting automation and SOP documentation.
• Ensure tax, audit, statutory compliance and adherence to internal governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CA preferred.
• 6–10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or an MNC environment.
• Strong accounting fundamentals, financial reporting knowledge and understanding of costing and inventory processes.

Required skills

• ERP systems – MS Dynamics 365 or SAP
