About the role

Serve as the primary legal advisor to senior leadership on strategic and operational matters. You will draft, review and negotiate commercial and technology agreements while ensuring compliance with data‑privacy regulations across APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to senior leadership on strategic and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology agreements (SaaS, partnerships, enterprise customers, vendors).
• Advise on data privacy and regulatory compliance, including Singapore Personal Data Protection Act and other APAC privacy regulations.
• Support product launches, fintech/payment integrations, and cross‑border business expansion.
• Manage corporate governance and company secretarial matters, including board resolutions, director changes, and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with the corporate legal team in Berlin and work closely with Finance, HR, and other functions on legal and compliance matters.
• Conduct legal and compliance training for internal teams and support implementation of internal policies and best practices.
• Coordinate with external counsel on cross‑border legal issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑8 years of experience in a regional corporate legal capacity within a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, with a relevant law degree.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in the tech industry is preferred.
• Proven experience leading negotiations on complex, high‑value contracts and agreements.
• Ability to translate legal advice into simple terms for business stakeholders without legal backgrounds.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting clear, unambiguous, and concise high‑value legal documentation.
• Strong ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.
