Head of Market Reporting – Electrification & Materials

About the role

The Head of Market Reporting – Electrification & Materials will lead a global team delivering price assessments, benchmarks and news coverage across the Electrification and Materials sectors. Reporting to the Platts Business Line leadership, this senior position shapes strategy, drives growth and ensures the relevance of S&P Global Energy’s market data for commodity traders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for electrification and materials benchmarks, aligning with the division’s vision and revenue targets.
• Oversee methodology design, research and analysis to produce reliable price assessments used as market benchmarks.
• Drive organic and inorganic expansion of vertically oriented benchmarks and acquire data to enhance relevance.
• Manage strategic relationships with market participants, exchanges and partners to promote benchmark adoption.
• Implement new content and product initiatives that support Energy business goals.
• Lead transformation initiatives, including AI tool adoption and workflow redesign as part of the Price Reporting Agency of the Future.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of energy markets, risk management, price reporting, reference data and commodity supply chains.
• Proven experience leading and managing global, remote teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Track record of strategic decision‑making around benchmark development and market engagement.
