HPC Product Development Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring an HPC Product Development Engineer in Singapore. The role sits within the LS-SWIFT Division of KLA's Global Products Group, which builds metrology and inspection products for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. The engineer designs, develops and maintains Windows OS images and deployment solutions for KLA platforms, and supports automation and diagnostics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain customised Windows OS images and deployment solutions for KLA platforms.
• Develop and support PowerShell-based automation, diagnostics and system management tools to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.
• Drive validation, testing and root cause analysis to ensure robust, maintainable and supportable solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing and system integration teams to resolve complex system-level issues and improve product readiness.
• Author technical documentation, take part in architecture and design reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices and mentoring.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of computer architecture, hardware subsystems, operating systems, networking and system-level performance.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently, communicate across teams and drive projects from design through deployment.
• Minimum qualification: doctorate with 0 years of related experience, master's degree with 3 years, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PowerShell and at least one other scripting or programming language such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with Windows OS deployment, customisation, troubleshooting, automation and hardware/software integration.
